Cheri's newest work in papier mache sculpture and reverse oil on glass paintings come to full color life with a wild sideshow cast of circus men and women and one crazy financial planner. The life size busts of three women with their wild cohorts convey O'Briens pernicious humor, love of circus and theatre characters. Cheri's reverse oil on glass paintings have a luminescent quality that interestingly contrasts with the humorous subject matter. Concurrently, Cheri is completely a large public art commission in dyed concrete. Papier mache and concrete? All she needs is some scissors.
